Technology ultimately replaces the parts that technology can effectively replace. And as a result, we have time left for human interaction. For real conversations.

CASE STUDY

How NSI Became One of the First Listed Companies in Europe to Deliver Earnings via AI Avatar

Dutch real estate investor NSI partnered with SurgeIR to add video to its FY 2025 results communications, without a film crew, without weeks of preparation, and without asking management to clear their calendars.

2,619 views in 48 hours. 17+ hours of total watch time. 21% full completion rate.

The challenge

NSI publishes its annual results just three and a half weeks after closing its books. That window is too tight for traditional video production. Reshoots, last-minute figure changes, management availability: every one of these variables made conventional video an impractical option for a lean, 45-person team reporting under Euronext Amsterdam listing obligations.

The IR team knew the static PDF was not enough. Research consistently shows that investors retain and understand information more effectively through a combination of visual and verbal communication. But the tools available to bridge that gap were either too slow, too expensive, or too rigid. Something had to give.

The solution

SurgeIR built AI avatars of NSI's CEO and CFO from a single photography and voice recording session. From that point forward, every future results cycle could be accompanied by a professional, scripted video, generated from the SurgeIR platform, updated at any point before publication, and fully compliant with GDPR and MAR requirements.

NSI published the video as a supplementary resource alongside its FY 2025 results, clearly disclosing its AI-generated nature and inviting investor feedback. The result was an additional channel for investor communication that added engagement without adding cost, complexity, or management time.

SurgeIR AI-driven investor video messaging

We were very upfront about it being AI, but still, some people did not notice. And the feedback was really good. I expected nuance but it was overwhelmingly positive.

The results

The FY 2025 video generated 2,619 views within 48 hours of publication, with over 17 hours of total watch time accumulated in the first reporting cycle. One in five viewers watched the full 12-minute video to completion. Investor feedback described it as an efficient way to get an initial read on the results, more engaging than a PDF and easy to share internally. Institutional investors, not just retail, engaged with the format.

NSI confirmed it will continue using the technology in future reporting cycles.
